Heather is a native of Oklahoma where she graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theatre Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma. She began performing professionally at the age of 8 at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma where she has performed in leading roles in numerous productions. Heather is a former first runner up Miss Oklahoma and the only woman from Oklahoma to ever hold the title of Miss National Sweetheart. Upon graduation, Heather taught private voice lessons for five years at StageStruck Studios and for three of those years taught group acting classes, etiquette classes, pageant coaching, and was the Director of the acting program. She has been a featured soloist with the Oklahoma Philharmonic, Ballet Oklahoma and Williams at the Waldorf, and Madison Square Garden. She has toured with a NYC based theatre performing in A Christmas Carol, traveled abroad to over 25 countries as a lead singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines, and performed the role of Belle in several productions of the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast. Heather is well acquainted with performing and teaching and is also offering private vocal instruction at StageStruck Studio. Heather Mayfield is thrilled to be back here in Oklahoma and very excited about teaching at ACTS Acting Academy.
